When a chemical manufacturer needed to find a solution quickly for a set of three batchers that had provided faithful service but had become unreliable and inconsistent in their operation, they needed to find an accurate and reliable control element. They turned to Innovec to supply a controller that ran pumps, accepted the output signals from existing inductive coil flow meters, have the fronts of the instruments impervious to harsh chemicals and be simple and easy for factory staff to use.

RESULTS ACHIEVED

The Innovec IBL Batch Controller was chosen because of ex-stock delivery, would fit into the existing panel cut out and could be supplied with an optional clear silicon boot over the front of the instrument to protect it from contact with chemicals used in chemical production and provide protection to IP67. It was also required to accurately measure and batch from a flow meter. This created a smooth transition for the production line, with minimal downtime and maintenance costs during the installation and commissioning of the 3 new batch controllers.

The IBL Batch Controllers provides a cost-effective control element with a back lit LCD which can be read in all light conditions. It offers functionality, has a reliable and accurate process and is user friendly for staff.
